JAMMU & KASHMIR Man injured during clashes last month in Shopian encounter, succumbs | KNO Published 327 weeks ago on January 16, 2018 By KashmirNewsObserver A Shopian resident who was hit by a bullet last month during clashes with government forces during an encounter has succumbed to his injuries on Tuesday. Mohammad Ayoub Bhat resident of Moolu Chitragam was hit by a bullet in his abdomen during clashes near encounter site at Batmaran-Wanpora on Dec 19, 2017. He was then admitted in SMHS hospital and was yesterday discharged from the hospital. "His condition started deteriorating today in the morning and family members tried to shift him again to SMHS Srinagar where he remained for about 15 days, however he succumbed on his way to hospital" a family source said. Pertinently, two Jaish militants including one local and a lady were also killed during the gunfight between militants and government forces.
